Landscape Design is the process of analysing, planning, and creating/constructing exterior spaces. Daniel has a thorough grounding in the principles of design translating your needs and wants into a creative reality. Our landscape design process consists of the following steps:
1) Free Initial Consultation
We conduct an initial on-site discussion with you and explore your ideas, needs, and desires. This time also provides a vital opportunity to get to know one another. Following the consultation you will receive a written copy of the brief, based on our discussions, together with a quotation.
A survey and assessment of the garden/space is conducted from which a scale plan is developed to work from. Depending on the scale of the project this may be conducted by a surveyor.
3) Concept Plans
The survey, together with the brief, forms the basis for the design. Preliminary drawings (and supporting material as required) are then produced for presentation, discussion and, if required, further development.
4) Master Plan
Once the concept has been agreed and a scheme has been decided, detailed CAD and/or hand drawings are produced clearly outlining the scheme.
5) Setting Out & Construction Plans
Where projects incorporate hard landscaping or structural requirements, a Setting Out plan will be required. Construction details and a specification document can be provided. From the construction details and specification the contractor will be able to cost, set out, and build the garden.
We work closely with our contractors and regular site visits are conducted to inspect the implementation of the work that has been designed and carried out. These site visits provide a valuable opportunity to liaise with you and the contractor to ensure the integrity of the scheme.
7) Planting Plan
Planting Plans can be provided additionally to a Master Plan. Planting Plans are also available as stand-alone plans for clients wishing to revise existing planting schemes or experiment with new layouts.
Landscape Design Fees
