An Oxfordshire Garden
The clients had just finished a long self-build project building their forever home. The garden design brief was to settle the building into the plot and create some separation and zoning from the drive. The front of the house faces south, they required some shading and screening for the main living space. A large pergola was designed using some cast-iron columns from an earlier building, this provides shading and softens the facade of the house. A generous evergreen shrub planting bed was designed to flank the drive and screen the south-facing front garden from the road. The paved areas were formed with brushed concrete with brick detailing.
